Patty Ashbrook,
General Manager / COO

Patricia was born and raised in Washington State and is the fourth of five children. Upon graduation from high school, she moved to California where she attended the University of Redlands earning a degree in Business Administration and married her high school sweetheart, Buck, that same year. She and Buck moved to Flagstaff in 1991 in pursuit of new employment opportunities.

Patty has extensive experience in customer service through her background in the retail industry. She has been a member of the management team at both large department stores and small, family-owned establishments. She was originally hired at Forest Highlands as an administrative assistant in the Administrative office in 1992. She quickly demonstrated her adaptability, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and was promoted to Membership Coordinator in 1994, then to the Controller position in 1996 and received a promotion to Chief Financial Officer in 2006. Patty comes from a long line of accountants, CPA’s, and finance-industry professionals, and she thoroughly enjoys the interpersonal aspects of the hospitality industry. To satisfy her passion for knowledge and professional and personal growth, Patty received her Master’s in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University in 2003 and obtained the Certified Club Manager designation through the Club Manager’s Association of America in 2013.

Patty loves working at Forest Highlands, developing positive relationships with members and staff, and continuously learning and adapting to the changing needs of the organization. The energy, enthusiasm and dedication to excellence that is part of the culture of Forest Highlands, as well as the challenging and demanding work environment has provided a career path that is both rewarding and stimulating.

She and Buck have two grown sons, Cody and Justin, and a wonderful daughter-in-law Cathryn (married to Cody), and a Rottweiler named Diesel.
