Kurt was born in Colorado but was raised for most of his life here in Flagstaff. He attended Flagstaff High School where he was a varsity athlete in both football and basketball and an overall good student. Kurt attended Northern Arizona University where he received his B.A. in English and B.S in Education. The greatest moments of his life came when he married his wife Michelle and when Michelle gave birth to their two children, Lillee and Jak.
Kurt began at Forest Highlands in 2002 when a classmate from one of his education classes asked him if he might be interested in a recreation counselor job at Forest Highlands. He was interested and started that April. He worked two years as a Recreation counselor before being elevated to the Assistant Director position, which is where he stayed for three years until 2007 when he was promoted to the Director of Recreation.
Kurt was hired for the role of Director of the Recreation Department for Forest Highlands Golf Club in 2007. In 2019, Kurt received a promotion to the position of Director of Recreation and Community Services. In April 2022, his title changed to Assistant General Manager.
Over the last 20 years of working for Forest Highlands Kurt has genuinely enjoyed the member relationships he has formed and looks forward to continuing the quest to make Forest Highlands Golf Club the best it can be.
