Forest Highlands Foundation:
Making a Difference

The Forest Highlands Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of those in our community. Through generous donations and active volunteer efforts, we support a variety of initiatives that address critical needs, from education and healthcare to environmental preservation and social services. Join us in making a lasting impact and building a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone. Together, we can achieve great things.

We are pleased to share the 2025 Annual Impact Report, reflecting another year of generosity and meaningful impact made possible by the Forest Highlands community. Time and again, our members demonstrate an extraordinary spirit of giving, coming together to support organizations throughout the greater Flagstaff area and helping strengthen the community we are proud to call home.

Inside this report, you will find a transparent look at the Foundation’s work over the past year, including how contributions have been distributed and the many ways those gifts have made a difference for local nonprofits and the people they serve. Each grant, program, and partnership is a direct reflection of the compassion and generosity of Forest Highlands members.

We hope this report offers a meaningful snapshot of what we can accomplish together. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the Foundation’s work, please feel free to reach out at admin@FHGC-FHF.org

Thank you for continuing to support the Forest Highlands Foundation and the important work it makes possible. We look forward to another year of generosity, partnership, and positive impact.

Camp Colton is a treasured rite of passage for local children. Operated by Flagstaff Unified School District in partnership with Friends of Camp Colton (Friends), this off-grid residential outdoor environmental education center on the slopes of the San Francisco Peaks is an integral part of what it means to grow up in our community. The Forest Highlands Foundation and Friends share a strong commitment to transformative educational experiences as a way to support a brighter future. Together, we have expanded Camp Colton programs and increased student access. For Camp Colton to continue, the facilities, most more than 50 years old, need a significant update.

The Forest Highlands Foundation has committed $50,000 towards a new lodge at Camp Colton which will be recognized on the new Gear Lending Room. This investment will sustain and elevate the Camp Colton tradition for future generations.
