Marcus has been a member of Forest Highlands for four years and a resident of Arizona for 25 years. Born and raised in Southern California, he received his BS in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University and MBA from Stanford University. Marcus started out doing mergers and acquisitions then made a career change to healthcare where he worked for over 25 years at several healthcare organizations including CIGNA, United Healthcare and BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona. During this time he worked in various operational, strategic and provider contracting roles, most recently retiring as a Vice President with BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona two years ago- but continues to do some consulting work for them. Marcus enjoys golfing, hiking, mountain biking, traveling, reading and taking history classes. He also volunteers for First Tee in Phoenix, where the is part of their Finance Committee. Marcus is married with two rescues dogs and spends the winter in Carefree where he is also a member of The Boulders.
